UCGPC Board of Directors vote on each resolution to reflect what UCGPC values and fights for.
The first step is always education. We seek to educate the graduate community in the University of California system about policies passed down by UCOP. We uplift graduate and professional voices in systemwide spaces in order to educate UCOP about what our community values. We disseminate information to the graduate and professional community, UCOP administration, and government legislators to improve every stakeholder’s awareness of important issues.
At the heart of our work is advocacy. UCGPC uses its organizational resources to include graduate and professional voices in systemwide and governmental decision-making in multiple spaces. We connect the graduate and professional community to resources vital to student professional development and academic success.
The result is community. We seek to build a strong, well-supported, and dignified graduate and professional community. 10 campuses under 1 system. UCGPC dreams of bridging each campus to each other. We look towards an equitable UC system for all graduate and professional student at each campus—from the coast to the inland.
Our work cannot be accomplished alone. Our partnership with the following organizations connects UCGPC and UC graduate and professional students to a larger community of support.
